Kudzu's mom says: Can you imagine ANYONE dumping this merry little fellow over the fence at the Humane Association animal shelter? He came home with me just before Hurricane Katrina flooded our local shelters with refugee pets. He's nine months old now, and a pure delight. Kudzu is "90-percent American Toy Terrier and ten-percent Chihuahua," according to his vet. His one major fault? He's stolen all the cat's toys for himself, especially the "mice."

I think it is a 'lot of personality' picture. Very good for a one human, one dog set-up. It usually takes two to get as good of a picture, the camera person and the other to get the dog into activity/attention.

He's adorable!! You're lucky all he's done is take the cat toys & not taken to chasing the cat!! That's what ours do. LOL He's one lucky guy to have found his forever home!!

Actually, he has taken up chasing the cat (and trying to do unspeakable things even though he's been neutered and the cat is a male as well) Sigh! I just have to make the ehn-ehn sound and yell NO! a lot.
And yes, he's sweet and funny and makes my heart smile, even with his faults.

THERE'S NO SUCH THING AS AN "AMERICAN TOY TERRIER". GO TO "AKC.ORG" AND SEARCH "RAT TERRIER" (GREAT PICTURE IN THE BANNER ACROSS THE TOP), ALSO CHECK OUT TOY FOX TERRIERS IN THE BREED LIST, AND MAYBE CHIHUAHUAS TOO. HOW BIG IS THIS GUY? IF HE IS IN THE 5-6 LB RANGE, HE'S PROBABLY A MIX OF THESE--IF HE IS BIGGER, THEN YOUR'E ON YOUR OWN! WHO KNOWS! AND IN THE LONG RUN, WHO CARES!? AS LONG AS WE LOVE THEM IT DOESN'T MATTER WHO THEIR ANCESTORS WERE!!

Oh, you do look like a lot of fun, Kudzu! How nice of you to make room in your heart for a discarded doggie! That was a real crunch time for all the shelters, after Katrina. I just hope that Kudzu doesn't wander like the vine does! ;o)
