Meet Matthew, the adorable half Dachshund puppy. He was brought to Shady Creek Rescue to find him a forever home. He is very loving and affectionate. This beautiful puppy looks like the Dachshund daddy, and his mother is a small mixed girl of about 10 pounds. Matthew is black with a tiny bit of white on his chin and chest. This sweet boy loves belly rubs, cuddling and being carried around. He and his brother Luke are just starting to investigate the world and are being weaned by mother, Tinker Bell, who also is up for adoption. These sweet babies will have their first puppy shots and wormer before going to new forever homes.

Thank you so much for posting these pictures of Matthew. Our dog Jack is a Daschund cross, and he was already a year and a half old when we adopted him. We always wondered what he would have looked like as a pup, and if you can picture Matthew with longer hair that curls a little, that is our Jack. When my husband saw the pic, he wanted to adopt him right away...until I explained how far away the shelter is..

Matthew with the face that could melt the coldest heart, I adore you. I can't help but notice that Matthew's composite biscuit score has come down from a high yesterday of 10.87, the highest I had ever seen. Some meanies must be coming in late and giving you a bad score to lower yours....that's all I can figure. Maybe someone jealous that Matthew's score has exceeded their pup's score? Whatever the case, I think it's widely agreed amongst the commentators that Matthew is the cutest pup ever!
