Max's mom says: I went to pick out the smallest male of the litter from my breeder, and I kept being drawn to Max's cute little face. He was the largest of the litter and has turned out to be a big boy 20 lbs. He has been the hardest puppy I have ever had to potty train, but the Bichon breed is so stubborn in nature. On the other hand, he is so sweet and such a good snuggle buddy. He is a great companion to me, as he is a momma's boy, and to my other Bichon, Mitzi.

I recently spent a couple days w/a friend who has bichon. I don't think I'd ever seen a dog with such a sweet personality!
And are they CUTE?? Yours is a doll! Someday... I will have a dog, and I'm leaning very strongly towards bichon!

Max is just perfect. We have a little 2 year old girl lhasa apsos named Sasha, I know what you mean about being stubborn. However, just like you I'm sure, we love our doggie unconditionally. Congrats on your puppy!

Oh my, I JUST LOVE YOU,I so want a Multipoo. that is what you remind me of. I know the Bischon is a great breed of their own rite. A friend had a little boy too. He was just a doll. Very protective, which is cool. I wish I could just hold you and play with you. Your momma is soooooooooooo lucky. Have a good time with your son.
We had a Bichon, her name was Muffin. She was sooo smart and the BEST lapdog EVER. She loved to cuddle and be kissed. They are great companions but very curious and ready to get into trouble unless they are kept busy. Ours loved the snow. I hope you enjoy MANY years of happiness with your little cutie. He will get attention wherever he goes and everyone who meets him will fall in love, that is the Bichon charm. Take great care of your little Max, he will bring you much joy.

Max reminds me of all the Bichons I've had throughout the years. It's impossible to resist them! And yes, they are stubborn, but when they lay in your arms, dreamily looking at you, it's heaven.
One thing that hasn't been mentioned by anyone is how comical they can be. I used to call my male, Teddy, a circus pup because he was such a silly acrobatic show-off.

Max is so sweet, i also had my Carlie, a bichon for 17 years of happiness. Yes they are stubborn but very loving....enjoy
A very sweet little guy! Many years of happy times wished for Max and his family. Good luck and success with the potty training. We made it a day and a night thing every two hours at first(outside in nightshirt at 3am was quite the sight!! -- took a month! Max is small, may take some time. Wishing that all works out for you! Happy New Year with this cutie-pie!

Well if Max lived at my house, I would have to quit my job and play with him all day. He is just beyond adorable.

What I can see of Max is very cute. Unfortunately, there's a whole side of ads that are covering most of the pics, so I can't see well. Is anyone else having this problem? It seems to be happening to me more & more lately.

He's a living doll! I work for a rescue and I've heard that Bichon's are hard to potty train, but he's worth the extra effort right? Much happiness with this beautiful boy!

OMD! Max is such a cutie! And your story could be mine! My little Bichon's name is also "Max", he was the biggest of the litter, & now weighs 20 lbs.! He was fairly easy to train & now waits 8 to 10 hrs when the weather is really nasty. Give Max a treat when he goes outside, the trick being giving it to him outside as soon as he "takes care of business"! Max still gets a treat when he comes in from a walk. And don't forget or he sits in front of the treat jar & cries! He is so protective of me especially with the mailman! He does have a little stubborn streak. All of these pics brought back so many happy memories of when Max was a baby. Max is getting 11 biscuits from Max & me & if it were possible it would be 11+++++++++++ for him. He's a fine example of this breed. Their personality is absolutely wonderful & they love babies & children of all ages & usually get along well with other dogs & cats. I recommend the Bichon to anyone thinking of getting a puppy, especially if they have children or other pets. And they are great "lap dogs". Great way to keep warm on a cold, rainy day! I hope you and I have many, many more years with our little Max's.
What a face...how could you not fall in love. Bichon's are a great breed.......enjoy your life with little Max, he is just sooooo cute! Zillions of tummy rubs and kisses and 11+++++++ biscuits for this little guy. I just want to scoop him up and give him bunches of loves. I have an 8 yr old Shih Tzu, Miss Molly and she would just love to play with Max. He's such a cutie, I know she'd fall in love. Enjoy every minute with Max.
What an amazing and beautiful bichon. I have a major sweet spot for these guys. My adolescent best friend was a bichon who only left us for the Rainbow Bridge this last spring after 17 years as queen of our house and the center of our life. Treat him well, keep him happy, spoil him, keep him healthy and exercised and he will be with you for a long time and will give you millions of smiles. I know that Clover did that for me from the night we brought her home. Cherish him! He reminds me so much of her and if he has even a fraction of her joie de vive you will neveer regret taking home the big boy!

Didn't know about the Bichon's stubborn streak, until my friend got a Bichon puppy for Christmas. I've been trying to help her potty train and socialize him because she works full-time.
He's the most intelligent puppy I've ever met, does feel like a little live cotton ball, and is definitely the alpha male. Oh so precious!! He's still so little, and don't know if he'll weigh 20 lbs. when grown.

What a pretty puppy. Loved Max's cute face and - of course - the cute paws thing. Potty training sounds very difficult - I thought training ours to go outside was bad... good luck with it though. He looks like he'll be a fabulous companion for you and your other pup. Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!

Yesterday the ads were goofing this page up. But this picture is clear today, and Max looks like a silky stuffed toy in this picture. I would have to stay home and just love on a puppy this cute all day long!!

Such a cutie! I bought my mother a Bichon a couple years ago and what a doll! Stubborn as a mule, but not a mean bone in his body. He's a natural therapy dog and very smart, too! I just LOVE them! Unfortunately, they usually know just how cute they are!

we trained our bichon/sheltie cross named bella by crating her at night and also by hanging a bell from our door knob so that everytime we took her out we would tap her paw , now at 12 weeks old she taps it by herself , no accidents. she s a real sweetheart, so glad we got her
