Puppy's parents say: Murphy is an Australian cattle dog (commonly referred to as a red or blue heeler; obviously he's of the red variety) mix. When these pictures were taken we had just brought him home with us in January 2005. The vet said that he was probably around four to five months old. Someone left Murphy and two of his siblings along a road in our county and the Humane Society picked them up. Murphy was the last puppy to be adopted of this group. We like to think he was waiting for us. He now has both mine and my husband's hearts wrapped around his little paws and he basically runs our house. He loves to "herd" us, play chase and fetch, chew on everything, and take long walks with us each evening. His favorite time of the day is when "his people" get out of the bed so that he has it all to himself. He's just a little spoiled, in case you couldn't already tell *wink wink,* but we love him so much! When you talk to him, he cocks his head to one side and looks at you as if to say, "Go on, I'm listening." If a dog can smile, then he does so all the time. Words can't even begin to describe the joy and wonder that Murphy has brought into our lives (making up for all the puppy messes and chewed up shoes and furniture ten times over). I am so grateful for Murphy, and my husband and I are truly blessed to have him as part of our family.
