Good morning, folks. I agree with those who want to do away with the "biscuit count", which serves no real service as I can see, except to make someone feel good if their puppy receives a high rating, and someone feel badly who doesn't. I've never given any dog less than an eleven and never will. If one dog isn't worth it, none are. Just as we are not judged by our outer appearance, so should animals not be judged, unless it's a dog show where the BREED and it's conformation is judged. Please, powers that be at the Daily Puppy, consider getting rid of the ratings system and let's just admire our fellow dog lover's dogs without placing a stamp of approval/disapproval on them. It would make this world just a little bit better place in which to live. Rowdy, you're a handsome little lad, with a fearless heart and, in your eyes, you're a fierce warrior dog, big enough to whup up on anything that comes your way. May you soon be found by your forever family and may your days on this earth be long and filled with nothing but joy and love. May your days be sunny and bright, with warm breezes and lots of toys and other puppies to play with, along with a few dog-tolerant kitties (Boy, do they add spice to a doggy's life, LOL). Such a shame that folks are missing out on half of canine creation by thinking only a big dog can be a real dog. OMG you are so cute!!!! I think little Rowdy is the cutest pup ever and forever!!!! Now don't tell Rowdy I said this, but when I first saw his picture and I was just going crazy with his cuteness I thought to myself I bet he will have a lower biscuit count because he is small and more unusual looking than some other puppies. I scrolled down I was shocked, horrified, appalled and self satisfied to see how right I was. Less than 11 biscuits? WTF... Now luckily none of these little furbabies will ever see their biscuit count and god forbid they did. I think it could be devastating!! like the time I was at home and this repair man came in and he asked me if I was a boy or a girl!! I think he was the kind of guy who would give less than 11 biscuits!!! Anyway, I have to go Rowdy, I love you, you will find a great home soon where you will get all the biscuits you need. And if in your travels you meet someone who gives less than 11 biscuits, don't be mad, don't nip or growl menacingly, but feel sorry for them for they don't have 11 biscuits of love in their hearts and that truly is sad. As a side note, may I say that I totally agree with happypup, randomearrings, KentuckyJim, bopeep, and all others who have called for a ban on the biscuit count. It can cause such bad feelings for owners whose puppies receive low ratings, and I feel it is not fair. As others have said, EVERY puppy deserves the highest praise, love and understanding we can give them. They are ALL winners, whether they already have a loving home and family, or are still trying to find their true, lasting homes. PLEASE do away with this subtle but hurtful form of discrimination and let us just revel in the lively beauty of these puppies. I really believe that's what The Maker had in mind anyway, don't you?
