Sam's mom says: This is Sam at ten weeks old. He will be three in November. Sam was born on Thanksgiving Day 2003 and had 11 brothers and one sister. The owner of his mother dumped the puppies at three weeks old and told the Humane Society where to find them. Foster families bottle-raised the 12 boys (the little girl died) and they all went to adoptive homes. Sam is half Dalmatian, half border collie (we call him a Dalborco) and he has personality traits from both breeds. He smiles when he is happy or when he gets caught doing something he shouldn't be doing. He loves rawhide and squeaky toys. He also has a love for empty water bottles and toilet paper rolls. He "herds" his cats and follows me around like my shadow and protector. He loves to cuddle and give hugs and he's extremely smart. He shares his home with his Great Dane/German shepherd brother, Ike, and two cats, Pete and Bella. He knows how to sit, lie down, and both our dogs ring a chime to go outside. He's a joy and we love him dearly.
