This is my Oscar. He is a male long-haired (shaded red) miniature dachshund. He was born on Ground Hog's Day 2007. We saw his photo on a website, and it was love at first sight! A few weeks afterwards, we drove over two hours to the home of a wonderful dachshund breeder to pick him up. He was our family's introduction to dachshunds, and we love him dearly!! Just a few weeks ago, we added a doxie addition to our family. We now also have a 3-month-old female long-haired dachshund (black and cream) named Gretel. She is a sweetheart and a beauty! Oscar and Gretel get along famously. They are the best of friends.
